Celebrating retirement - Terry Tate





January 2008.  A great day at Jeff Lynch Appliance and TV Center because we were blessed with the addition of a new team member - Terry Tate!

Terry quickly settled in to his role as one of the most steady and reliable staff members we could ever hope for.

A quick fast forward to May 27, 2020 when Terry works his last day at Jeff Lynch and begins his long-anticipated and well-deserved RETIREMENT!

Several words come to mind to describe this great person.

A True Gentleman 
Faithful
Honest
Honorable
A Gamecock Fan
Fair
Practical
Unassuming





If you are looking for Terry in the coming days you will likely find him volunteering or spending time with his family who means everything to him.

The President of Jeff Lynch Appliance and TV Center  Mark Lynch     Mark Lynch was raised and trained in Greenville in his father’s business, Jeff Lynch Appliance and TV Center.   Mark graduated from Wade Hampton High School and studied Advertising and Public Relations at the University of South Carolina.  He  took over the direction of the business in 1985. In 1988 he married his wife Sarah, who is a Commercial Interior Architect and has been a blessing to the company.   God blessed Mark and Sarah with two wonderful children.   Cole, 28, is Vice President of Operations at Jeff Lynch.     Stevie, 21, is a senior at Anderson University.  She is studying Interior Design and will be joining the Jeff Lynch business after graduation. Hello March!

The Daffodils are in bloom, the days are getting longer, and Saint Patrick's Day is around the corner! I thought it would be fun to research and share a few March facts. Not a surprise to me, if you were born in March, your birth flower is a daffodil! I love to see these flowers show up every year! One year used to be 10 months long staring in March and ending in December on old Roman Calendars!  By there calendars I am a lot older than I thought I was! This year during the Vernal Equinox which is March 20 th   at 5:24 p.m. sun is directly above the equator!     What does this mean?     It means the day and night are equal length! March and June finish on the same day of the week, every year! The Romans deadline to settle debts was called the “Ides of March” was considered to be March 15 th .     Coincidentally it was also the day Julius Caesar was assassinated.
